THE CHALLENGE

The challenge for this major Australian retailer was to support the group digital business objectives of driving the membership loyalty program, modernising the online retailing web presence and leveraging an enterprise data platform for groupwide advanced insights and analytics.

OUR BRIEF

  1. Architect, design and build the group wide cloud data platform
  2. Design and build a data driven, flexible and low maintenance data management framework
  3. Incorporate the latest cloud automation and orchestration approaches
  4. Design for multiple ingestion approaches and cloud technologies
  5. Design and build the relevant data marts for end user consumption

OUR APPROACH

  1. Complete a comprehensive Snowflake solution architecture phase to support the business case, end user requirements and project roadmap for the enterprise data platform
  2. Worked closely with the business divisions to determine data ingestion and transformation patterns
  3. Incorporated modern security and data privacy practices into the platform
  4. Worked closely with the data science and advanced analytics teams to determine key use cases
